A facelift is a facial rejuvenation procedure designed to improve aging changes of the face and neck. There are a number of different type of facelifts available in the 21st century. The new options are designed to improve appearance in a natural way, quicken recovery and prolong the results.Scars usually heal very well and are specifically designed to be hidden. Many modern facelifts remove excess fat,if present, carefully tighten the skin and muscle of the face and neck which can give dramatic improvements with jowls over the jaw and smooth "turkey bands " of the neck.

What are the objectives of facelift?

The goals of a facelift are simple: to attempt to deliver a more youthful appearance to the face and neck. Most facelift candidates are relatively healthy, active middle or retirement age individuals who feel their facial appearance doesn't match their attitude towards life. "I have a 25 year old brain trapped with a 55 year old body." Some people have other motivations,e.g.those in the entertainment business feel the need to always look their very best. Even people in regular, corporate America jobs feel looking younger gives them an edge and improves their odds of staying competitive in a fast moving world.
