1. What is the basic procedure of Face lift?
A face lift (technically known as a rhytidectomy) can' t stop this aging process. What it can do is "set back the clock," improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck.
2. Can I expect permanent results from a face lift?
After a face lift, you will look better and rejuvenated, however, it does not stop the natural aging process.
3. Is there a common technique for face lift procedures?
There are various techniques of face lift including SMAS resection, SMAS plication, deep-plane face lift, etc.
4. Who is a good candidate for face lift surgery?
Patients in general good health and non-smokers.
5. Will face lift surgery eliminate all of my facial wrinkles?
Fine wrinkles are not addressed by a face lift. Deep naso-labial folds may improve but will not disappear. Forehead wrinkles, crow' s feet are areas not addressed by a face lift and may need other concomitant procedures like blepharoplasty, browlift, etc.

The goal of a face lift is to provide a natural rejuvenated look.
7. What types of face lift surgery are available?
There are various techniques including SMAS resection, placation, deep-plane, subperiosteal. The technique is dependent on the patient and the surgeon.
