An Interview With Dr. George Valentini MD , A Qualified Plastic Surgeon For Moms In Louisville

1. Are there any dietary restrictions following face lift surgery?

After a face lift, soft food is recommended for a few days (4-5) to avoid excessive motion of the facial muscles. Patients can then resume a normal diet.

2. When is my first postoperative face lift appointment?

The 1st post operative visit is the next day after the surgery in order to check the incisions and change the dressings.

3. Does it hurt to get the drains removed?

Drains are usually removed on day 5 after the surgery. They are flat little rubber tubings and their removal does not hurt.

4. Are there any instructions about regular daily activities?

Detailed instructions post surgery are given in writing to every patient and discussed before hand.

5. When will I look normal?

Since face lifts have become less invasive in recent years, a normal appearance can be achieved within 7-10 days.

6. How can I learn more about face lifts?

Your board certified plastic surgeon will have all written documentation to inform you about face lifts. You can also consult their web page. Ours is www.westernkentuckyinstitute.com

7. Will I need any special prescriptions following face lift surgery?

Following Face Lift you will be taking Antibiotics for one week and pain medication for maybe 3 to 4 days. In addition we recommend high doses of Vitamin A and C to facilitate healing.
